Nawanshahr (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh Kaler): The annual Chhinj Mela dedicated to Guga Jahir Peer Ji concluded in a historic and memorable manner in village Bagowal. Held in the sacred presence of Swami Dayal Das Ji Maharaj, the successor of Dera Baouri Sahib Ji, this renowned wrestling fair left behind cherished memories. It was a massive event where approximately 250 top-tier wrestlers from across the country showcased remarkable skills, thoroughly entertaining the audience. The chief organizers of this grand wrestling fair were prominent social worker and messiah of the poor Ravi Inder Singh Bagowal, contractor Dharamveer Bagowal, and Penny Pehlwan, who made high-class arrangements with a major contribution to this Mahakumbh. The success of the fair was significantly supported by committee members Vijay Bhumbla, Sethi Bhumbla, Satpal Bhumbla, Raj Kumar Bajaj, Avinash Chechi, former sarpanch Balram Bajaj, Mohinder Pal Bhumbla, Ram Shah Bhumbla, Raju Khepar, Ramesh Khepar, Sukhdev Khepar, Surjeet Chela Ji, Babu Chela Ji, and the entire village community. In the main wrestling results, the thrilling top-tier bout took place between India’s renowned wrestler Shera Gujjar and 
Bhola Delhi, in which Shera Gujjar secured a brilliant victory and won the grand prize of a Jeep. The second-place match between Bhupinder Ajnala and Prince Kohali ended in a draw, with both wrestlers receiving Bullet motorcycles as a reward. The third-place match was fought between Jonty Gujjar and Chandi Gujjar, where Jonty Gujjar emerged victorious and was awarded a Splendor motorcycle. In addition, four other special wrestling matches were held, with the winners receiving gold rings.
