BJP National Secretary says at a Gujjar community gathering—Party fully ready to form government in Punjab; people must think about Punjab’s future
Nawanshahr (Asian independent) (Jatinder Pal Singh Kaler ): A special gathering of the Gujjar community, rising above party politics, was organized at the residence of the late Namberdar Harbans Lal Takarla in village Dobali Mand near Kathgarh. A large number of leaders, panchs-sarpanchs, and prominent personalities belonging to the Gujjar community from various villages were present on the occasion. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Secretary, Rajya Sabha MP, and Haryana BJP Co-in-charge Surender Nagar specially participated in the event. Addressing the gathering, Surender Nagar described the Gujjar community as loyal and hardworking, stating that he feels proud to be among them. He said that the Balachour assembly constituency is considered the stronghold of the Gujjar community, and the community plays a major social and political role in this region.Surender Nagar said that during elections, many political leaders make big promises to win votes from the people, but later fail to live up to their expectations. He said that people must now become aware and make decisions keeping their own and Punjab’s future in mind. Clarifying BJP’s election strategy for Punjab, he announced that the party will contest all 117 seats of the Punjab Legislative Assembly on its own strength. He said that the BJP is moving forward with the goal of forming its government in Punjab under all circumstances, and party workers are working dedicatedly for this purpose. Mentioning Haryana, Surender Nagar said that though Haryana is a small state in terms of area, it is continuously progressing in various fields, including sports. He noted that the BJP government there is paying special attention to players and youth. In contrast, the drug problem remains severe in Punjab. Expressing concern over this, he appealed to the people of Punjab to think seriously about the state’s future. Thanking all the leaders and people who attended the gathering, he urged them to introspect and consider whether Punjab needs the BJP and what political direction should be chosen to lead the state on the path of progress. Upon reaching the residence of the late Namberdar Harbans Lal Takarla, Surender Nagar was given a grand welcome. On this occasion, the Hakla family, Hardeep Chaudhary Takarla, and Kuldeep Chaudhary Takarla thanked the visiting guests.
