Launch of Rs 34 crore power reform project in Bhaddi
Domestic and agriculture lines will be separated, people will get uninterrupted power supply
Nawanshahr (Jatinder Pal Singh Kaler)- A big good news has come for village Bhaddi under Balachaur constituency and surrounding area. Formal start of a major power reform project costing Rs 34 crore under the government’s RDSS was done by laying the foundation stone. With the start of this multi-purpose project, the power infrastructure of the area will get a new direction and residents will get permanent relief from the decades-old problem of low voltage and frequent power cuts.
The biggest aspect of this project is to completely separate the power lines for domestic consumers and agriculture (tubewells), which will streamline the power distribution system. Separation of domestic and agricultural lines will end serious problems like voltage drop (low voltage), short circuit and overloading. This will provide 24-hour uninterrupted and full voltage power supply to common consumers in villages. For irrigation of crops, farmers will get regular and fault-free full voltage electricity, which will free them from the problem of tubewell motors burning. Decades-old dilapidated wires, poles and transformers installed in the area will be replaced and connected with a new and modern technology system. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, constituency MLA Santosh Kataria and senior leader Ashok Kataria said that providing basic facilities to the people of Balachaur constituency and all-round development of the area is the main initiative of the government. They said that apart from strengthening the power infrastructure, work is also going on continuously on a large scale for laying a network of roads, improving health facilities and renovation of education in the constituency. On this auspicious occasion of laying the foundation stone, senior officials of the electricity department, local panchayat representatives, dignitaries and a large number of area residents were present. The area residents expressed gratitude to the government and the MLA for starting this Rs 34 crore project.
