Nawanshahr (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh Kaler): In line with the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to listen to people’s problems at their homes and villages and resolve them, a special public interaction meeting was organized in village Raju Majra. On this occasion, Brigadier Raj Kumar, Chairman of the Gujjar Welfare Board Punjab, arrived specially and interacted with the villagers to get detailed information about their difficulties, demands, and various issues related to the area. During the interaction, villagers placed various problems and essential demands related to their area before Chairman Brigadier Raj Kumar. He listened to the people’s concerns seriously and assured them that the concerned matters would be brought to the attention of the government and departments for appropriate action.Speaking on the occasion, Brigadier Raj Kumar said that listening to people’s problems and making efforts for their resolution is his first priority. He stated that the government is continuously making efforts to reach out to the people, understand their difficulties, and resolve them. He added that instead of making rounds of government offices, listening to people’s problems by reaching at their doorsteps provides them great relief and also strengthens direct contact between the administration and the public. The Chairman said that he is working with utmost seriousness to resolve the legitimate problems of every section of society, including the Gujjar community. He emphasized that it is the need of the hour to take the welfare and development initiatives undertaken by the Punjab government for every section of society down to the grassroots level. He assured the villagers that every possible effort would be made to resolve their legitimate demands by forwarding them to the concerned departments.During the public meeting, the villagers warmly welcomed Brigadier Raj Kumar and expressed gratitude for his visit to listen to their grievances. The villagers noted that such public interaction programs provide common people with an opportunity to present their problems directly to responsible representatives. Prominent citizens, villagers, and people from various sections of the area were present on the occasion. Issues related to village development and public welfare were also discussed during the meeting. Brigadier Raj Kumar assured the people that matters related to development works and public welfare will be taken forward on a priority basis.
