Jalandhar Cantt. (Asian independent) PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Jalandhar Cantt. organised a Career Counselling Fair for students of Classes IX to XII and their parents to provide exposure to diverse higher education opportunities, professional courses and career pathways. The programme was graced by S. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Senior Deputy Mayor, Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest, and Major Somakanta as the Guest of Honour. Honey Mehta, Principal, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Jalandhar Cantt., and Shashikant, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 4, Jalandhar Cantt., were also present on the occasion. The event was organised under the guidance of Principal Ravinder Kumar and Vice Principal Ugra Mohan Yadav. The Career Fair witnessed participation from reputed universities, colleges and 
professional institutions from Jalandhar and neighbouring areas, including Rayat Bahra University, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Amity University, MAAC Institute, MIT World Peace University, Pune, DAV University, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, GNA University, Army College of Nursing, CT Group of Colleges, Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, Satyug Darshan Kala Kendra and Hans Raj Kanya Maha Vidyalaya. Representatives provided students with information about academic programmes, eligibility criteria, entrance examinations, scholarships, admission procedures and career prospects. Students and parents actively interacted with the representatives and explored opportunities according to their interests and aspirations. The Chief Guest, S. Balbir Singh Dhillon, appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of timely career guidance in helping students make informed choices. Major Somakanta, Guest of Honour, also addressed the students on the Army as a career option, highlighting the range of opportunities available in the Armed Forces and encouraging students to learn about various entry pathways, professional roles and avenues for serving the nation. Principal Ravinder Kumar expressed his appreciation to all participating institutions, dignitaries and the organising team for making the Career Fair a meaningful platform for students and parents. At the end, Vice Principal Ugra Mohan Yadav proposed the vote of thanks.
