Finally, my work on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, INA and India’s Freedom Movement is published. It has been a wait for nearly two years for which I worked extremely hard to get into making it a comprehensive work. The aim was to understand his ideological positions and how he actually acted on them.
I know many of our friends had deep rooted issues about Netaji but my book without being judgemental has brought out those facts which were not discussed widely in public. This book containes everything you are looking for in terms his life journey, his courageous escape to Peshwar and then to Kabul. His journey from Kabul to Germany and finally from there to Japan.
It traces history of India’s freedom movement in South East Asia and explore the important role played by the Hindus and Sikh diaspora as well as the Muslims in building Azad Hind Fauj. How Azad Hind Fauj was Netaji’s idea of inclusive India.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has been misunderstood. The left liberals felt his associations with Hitler’s Germany were uncomfortable for them while the right wing attempted to appropriate him. This explore the entire issue in great details.
The book has been published by Institue of Objective Studies, New Delhi. It is my third book from the Institute. I hope this book will be well received by people who are looking for exploring unheard stories of our freedom movement.
