(Asian independent) Varitra Foundation hosted a vibrant Certificate Distribution Ceremony in Village Suhana on 8th April, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to foster education, skill development, and community empowerment. The event, held at the local community center, honored over 120 beneficiaries who successfully completed vocational training program facilitated by the foundation.
Dr. Ramji Lal, Retired Principal of Dayal Singh College, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Dr. Lal emphasized the transformative power of education and applauded the Varitra Foundation’s commitment to uplifting rural communities. “Education is the cornerstone of progress, and initiatives like these bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. The dedication of the foundation and its beneficiaries is truly inspiring,” he remarked.
Varitra Foundation has empowered more than 1350 women in 16 villages through running 22 batches in total and aims to empower 720 more women in the year 2025.
The ceremony was attended by the Varitra Foundation’s leadership team, including Ms. Ayeshna Kalyan (Director and Co-founder) and Mr. Baljeet Yadav (Director and Co-founder), who reiterated the organization’s vision of creating sustainable change. “Today is not just about certificates; it’s about celebrating the resilience and hard work of our participants. Each certificate symbolizes a step toward a brighter future,” said Ms. Kalyan. Mr. Yadav added, “Our mission is to equip individuals with skills that empower them to thrive, and this event reaffirms our collective progress.”
The foundation’s project team, including Mr. Ankur (Cluster Head, Operaions), Ms. Rekha (Senior Project Officer), Ms. Sheena and Mr. Raj (Project Trainers), and Ms. Rakhi and Ms. Savita (Project Officers), were also present to celebrate the achievements of the participants. Their relentless efforts in program implementation and mentorship were acknowledged as pivotal to the initiative’s success.
The event featured cultural performances by local artists, heartfelt testimonials from beneficiaries, and an exhibition showcasing crafts and products created by trainees. Attendees expressed gratitude for the foundation’s holistic approach, which integrates vocational training, women’s empowerment and education.
