Balachaur, (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh Kaler ): A huge and impressive function on the theme of Social Harmony and Drug-Free Society, dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, was organized with great devotion and enthusiasm by Sanatan Dharma Sabha (Regd.) Balachaur at Shri Radha Krishna Mandir, Taunsa. The event was inaugurated by renowned historian and thinker Kuldeep Agnihotri Ji by lighting the lamp before Bharat Mata. The General Secretary of the Sabha, Paramjit Rattewalia, efficiently performed the role of stage secretary. In this grand event, Gaddi Nashin Swami Dayal Das Ji of Dera Baba Sarwan Das Ji Bawdi Sahib joined as the Chief Guest and Kuldeep Agnihotri Ji, Director of Himachal Pradesh University Regional Centre, Dharamshala, joined as the keynote speaker. The President of the Sabha and well-known social worker Surinder Panesar, along with Randeep Kaushal, Pardeep Nagpal, Somnath Takla, Amarjit Singh and Surjit Kohli, warmly welcomed the guests by presenting Siropas. On this occasion, a large number of Panches-Sarpanches, religious representatives and devotees from about 31 villages of the area participated and enhanced the grace of the function.
In his impressive address, keynote speaker Kuldeep Agnihotri Ji, citing Gurbani and the teachings of various great personalities and historical facts, said that the evil of casteism in Indian society was deliberately created by foreign rulers to divide India. He said that today, to take India to great heights, everyone will have to work continuously to end casteism and bring social harmony. Expressing concern over the growing influence of drugs, he said that to stop it, not only sincere government policies but also mutual love and respect among family members is very important. Parents should spend maximum time with their children and share information about social customs, traditions and values so that children can stay away from the menace of drugs. On this occasion, Swami Dayal Das Ji blessed the devotees with his divine discourses. At the end of the function, Panches-Sarpanches and religious representatives from different villages of the area were also specially honoured with mementos by Swami Dayal Das Ji, Kuldeep Agnihotri Ji and Surinder Panesar. On this occasion, Sandeep Honey Taunsa, Senior Akali Leader and Halka Incharge of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal, Krishan Ram Former Inspector, Master Baldev Singh, Raj Kumar, Pardeep Rana, Lalit Kumar, Vishu Rana, Sanjeev Kumar, Arinder Singh, Naveen Sandesh, Master Harvinder Pal, Jaswinder Singh Sodhi, Mahinder Pal Chairman, Gagandeep Kaushal, Master Anoop Kumar, Varinder Bhumbala and a large number of dignitaries were present.
