Urges people only to approach licensed firms for immigration related consultations
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh kaler ) Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Gulpreet Singh Aulakh has cancelled the licence of an immigration firm, M/s Brampton Immigration and IELTS Institute, located at Balachaur, under the provisions of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012. According to the official orders issued by the Deputy Commissioner, the proprietor of the firm, Varinder Kumar Bjar, had himself applied for cancellation of the licence issued to the institute. Following verification and a report submitted by the police authorities, the district administration proceeded to cancel the licence by exercising powers vested under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act. Reiterating the district administration’s commitment towards safeguarding the interests of people, Mr. Aulakh said that strict action would continue against unauthorized and unregistered firms involved in immigration-related activities in the district. The Deputy Commissioner also urged residents to remain vigilant and approach only licensed and authorised immigration firms for visa, overseas education and other immigration-related consultations. He said the administration was committed to ensuring transparency and protecting people from fraud and exploitation by illegal operators in the immigration sector.
