In memory of Dhandhan Baba Gugga Jahir Veer Ji, like every year, the annual wrestling dangal is being organized this time on Friday, September 4, on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. In this regard, an important meeting of the entire management committee and local residents was held at the Panchayat Ghar Kathgarh.This dangal will be organized with the cooperation of the town and area residents, the panchayats of Kathgarh and Kathgarh Khurd, under the leadership of Dera Baba Tibbi Sahib Kathgarh’s Gaddi Nashin Bapu Sakhi Ram Ji and Chief Sewadar Sai Kale Shah Ji. During the dangal, competitions will be held exclusively between renowned wrestlers from invited akharas, promising thrilling matches for the spectators.The organizers have announced magnificent prizes for the winning wrestlers, under which the winner of the main ‘Jhandi’ wrestling match will be honored with a Sonalika tractor, while the winners of three special wrestling matches will be awarded motorcycles. On this occasion, the management committee took a special and significant decision announcing that no invitation letter will be sent to any political party leader. The committee stated that in the past, political leaders make big announcements for the development of Kathgarh and the constituency, but none of those promises are fulfilled. However, the committee clarified that if any political leader attends the dangal of their own accord, they will be given due respect and honor. Present in large numbers at the meeting were former sarpanch Joginder Pal Dutt, former sarpanch Subhash Anand, Sai Kale Shah, Market President Raj Kumar Anand, Comrade Avtar Singh Tari, Contractor Praveen Choudhary, Pandit Satinder Sharma, Nambardar Jaspal Bhatia, and other prominent dignitaries.
