During my 2026 trip to America, I got to learn something about Seattle.
The city of Seattle, located in the North side of America, is a wonder of the greenery and technology, business world. Seattle, with a population of 45 to 50 million, is one of the top 15 cities in America surrounded by mountains, trees and sea. The city of Seattle, located in an area of 217 kilometers, 100 kilometers from the Canadian Vancouver border, was inhabited by American people about 4 thousand years ago and then settled here by Europeans. At present, about 65 percent are European and about 14 percent are from the Asian continent while about 1 percent are from the Sikh community. People who believe less of God and more of the natural nature of nature live. According to the 2008 manhood, the most educated and graduates are from Seattle. University of Washington Seattle is recognized as one of the top 11 universities in the world. Football is the sport here Harmon loves it. Seattle created history by becoming the national champion in American football in 2015. Also, baseball, soccer (world famous soccer sport), basketball etc sports are more played and liked by people. Year 2026 FIFA World Cup Football 6 matches were played at Seattle’s Football Stadium. Which has increased Seattle’s popularity internationally. 78 percent of the people in Seattle speak the English language while about 10 percent speak languages from the Asian continent. Punjabi language is spoken by about 1% of people here.
Amazon was also established in Seattle in 1994
It is known as a cold city due to the weather being mostly rainy and cloudy. Bill Gates, the owner of Microsoft company and the richest man in the world, also lives in the same city Seattle. This as a city of ships
Also known. All the planes of the world’s famous Boeing company are built in Seattle. The world’s online retailer company ‘Amazon’ was also founded in 1994 in Seattle. With which modern technology flourished in the world. Seattle has become one of the biggest business city in the world with the advent of software and internet companies. Because of which its population is increasing day by day. The world’s most progressive and progressive people are settling in Seattle.
‘Museum of Flight’ is the center of big attraction
The Museum of Flight as an air and space icon is a major attraction for visitors visiting Seattle. The museum houses fascinating models of aircraft ranging from early 20th century to modern technology. Those who see this understand how far the technology has reached. In addition, the increase in the sight and knowledge of the military aircraft, the first fighter plane, and other historical objects used from World War I 1914 to 1918 and World War II from 1942 to 1946 can be seen. The Boeing company prepares a new plane in 6 days. This historic city has also endured many ups and downs. Seattle suffered massive economic losses during World War I, which also suffered poverty, unemployment and other disasters. In 1970, the Boeing company provided financial support to strengthen it economically. With which this city is back on its feet. This is why today’s watch has become the wonder of the world in terms of beauty, economy and trade.
Another wonder in Seattle, the Space Needle Tower.
The 184-meter-tall Space Needle Tower, which marks its identity among the 7 Wonders of the World, demonstrates its distinctive appeal like the Eiffel Tower in the French city of Paris. Starbucks coffee also started in Seattle. The first Starbucks coffee shop still exists in downtown Seattle today. Where there is a huge crowd of people to drink coffee. The entire structure of the city of Seattle runs under the supervision of the mayor there. There is a two party political system Democratic and Republican parties. More political dominance belongs to the Democratic party. In the 2012 general election, 80 percent of the vote for then-elect Barack Obama was voted by the people of the city of Seattle. Which is a political record. In 1926 Bertha Knight Landis was the first woman to be honoured to become Mayor, while India’s first woman Promila Jaipal had the honour of becoming a Congress member.
Punjabis have different identity in Seattle.
Seattle city is completely dominated by Europeans, more than one lakh people belonging to the Sikh community and Punjabi community live in Seattle. It is a matter of pride that the pass out students of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Ludhiana of 1980s are getting jobs in the Boeing Company in large numbers. Harsimrat Singh Chahal has a unique identity in the Boeing Company. The arrival of the Sikhs took place around 1900 from Absford to Vancouver to Seattle through the army of whites. Many Sikh families settled in Seattle after the partition of India in 1947. But after the 1984 Darbar Sahib attack, there was a movement of Sikhs and Punjabis to come here. Most of the Punjabis have their jobs on trucks, stores and gas stations etc and very few have invested money in their personal businesses. About 5 million people of Seattle’s 50 million population believe in more faith than information about Sikhism. The ‘Wing Luke Asian Museum’ built here gives good information about Sikh history. Seattle has about a dozen gurdwaras. While the main Gurdwara Singh Sabha Guru Ghar is being constructed at Rinton. Where every Sunday and other historical days people bow in large numbers. In addition, sports activities by Punjabis are conducted very well every year. Apart from Kabaddi Cup and other games, coaching camps for Punjabi children are also organized by the Sikh community. Punjab Sports Seattle Kabaddi Club is also having a complete winning dominance in America, Canada Kabaddi. Manmohan Grewal alias Mohana Jodhan and his entire team write about Man Dhan Kabaddi Club, Seattle-based lyricist Manjeet Chahal Kankwal and eminent writer Karnail Kail’s writings are also making Punjabis proud. The real truth is that if one wants to see heaven on earth the living one comes from Seattle city after Switzerland.
