TIME TO DEMAND CHANGE, IF NOT IN POLICY THEN, IN REGIME

(Asian independent)     (By Venkatesh Narayanan and Sandeep Pandey)  The entirely unsurprising, yet unprovoked attack on Iran on March 1 by war-mongering blood-thirsty neocons in the United States and the illegitimate state of Israel (Occupied Palestine) has been roundly and fiercely condemned world over. This has already resulted in the terrorist forces of the US and Israel murdering 165 elementary school girls , 20 female Volleyball players and many other entirely innocent civilians. It was unsurprising because this attack has been on the books of Israeli terrorist forces and the US rogue state since the mid-1990s. What is surprising that Iran, in spite of their fearless spiritual leader Ayatollah Khamenei and his family including grand-kids being murdered, several of their military leaders being likewise murdered, their armed forces fight on. The US population is now figuring that it’s their own regime needs to be changed with only about 25% of Americans support their own government – which is titled the Epstein class – in this terrorist operation – Operation Epstein Furious. Iran continues to strike military assets of the US and its cronies across West Asia whereas the US rogue state and Israeli terrorist forces (ITF) continue to mount more terror raids. Congressman of Trump’s own Republican Party Thomas Massey has questioned Trump’s intention in going to war by saying that bombing a country on the other side of globe won’t make the Epstein files go away.

There are questions over Ayatollah Khamenei’s role during the anti-hijab protests by Iranian women a few years ago and the more recent citizens’ protest against the dire state of Iranian economy, when on both occasions the Iranian government used brutal suppression to quell democratic dissent. However, the right of regime change in Iran is vested completely in the people of Iran. It cannot be mortgaged to despots of US and Israel. It is no surprise that in spite of Trump prodding the Iranian people to take over the power in their hands, it is of little concern to people of Iran at the moment who are more worried about their survival itself.

What is relevant to Indians, but perhaps entirely expected is the way our government behaved just prior to and after the attacks commenced. Prime Minister Modi, showed up to speak in the Israeli parliament, just a few days before Israeli terror raids, where many of their opposition walked away as he began to speak. His unstated angle was of course that oligarch Adani’s Elbit defence systems’ of the terror-inducing Hermes 600 drones being manufactured in Hyderabad get greater profits. It appears that Modi’s foreign visits are intended to advance Adani’s business interests. Of course, his economic policy being non-existent, signing up entirely unnecessary and redundant not to mention unfavourable trade deals with the US administration, — now that the US Supreme court has ruled that their executive (the Trump Administration) cannot set tariffs. So our trade “deal” has been co-signed and agreed to with a party which has no business signing such.  One imagines Nirmala Sitaraman has no role in all this as Finance Minister, Hardeep Puri of course being busy clearing his name from the Epstein files, but what was our Embassy in the US doing? Of course, they were also plainly incompetent unable to do the basic function that embassies have to do – keep track of events and advise our governments back home. Anyways, Modi’s visit resulted in yet another batch of 50000 Indians being readied to go to Israel. many of whom would be selected as skilled workmen but upon reaching Israel when their skills are not found up to the mark, will work as unskilled labourers. Labourers have been going to all corners of the world from India in search of jobs since time immemorial but this is the first time that government of India is acting as labour contractor, supplying labourers to the developed countries. Now that US will buy clothes from Bangladesh without any tariff on the condition that Bangladesh will buy US cotton instead of Indian cotton, it leaves India with little choice to export anything else. Meanwhile, Israel continues bombing the Gandhi hospital in Tehran.  Someone needs to tell the Indian government, not only that we are on the wrong side, but do they not realize that they are next in the US cross hairs? The US rogue state after abducting President Maduro and his wife, killing the Ayatolllah – and before that Saddam Hussein and Salvador Allende – will sooner or later come for Modi and Shah – once we show some backbone or sovereignty, the chances of which are very slim looking at the history of Hindutva forces who create ruckus at home but surrender meekly to outside imperialist forces.

US and Israeli actions in Iran need to be strongly condemned . With Yemen and Hezbollah joining the resistance, it could snowball into WWIII. Already more than two dozen Pakistanis, protesting the murder of their Shia Leader Ayatollah Khamenei have been killed by US Consulate forces in Karachi. Kashmir too is on the boilIraqi Shias have started their violent protests. India’s best bet is to regain its lost sovereignty. Since 2014 our government led by PM Modi has been feckless, supplicant to foreign interests and their local India compradors. We’ve already cut a sorry figure by first reducing our purchase of oil from Russia under Trump’s pressure and now with a looming oil crisis due to war again asking Russia to supply more. In spite of his rhetoric Modi has become a laughing stock today who keeping silent on the major attack by US and Israel on Iran has chosen to condemn Iranian minor retaliatory attack on US interests in Saudi Arabia. The time has come to take a stand. We urge the Indian government to declare our support for Iran. It’s in their – indeed our own interest – that we stand up for what is right and moral. The time has come to demand change, if not in the Indian foreign policy then, in the regime itself.
