The Policy document for the Education Policy of the government of India is out now. Though it is referred as New Education Policy and will continue to be referred as such but it needs to be carefully analysed and understood. What are the repercussions of this policy on India’s education system and whether we are going to increase social inequalities through this is a matter of grave concern for all of us. Many are worried about as what could be the scene in the Universities and whether we will be able to focus on the primary education which right from Prof Amartya Sen and many other experts felt long ago as India actually neglected that sector and the result was the disparities grew tremendously.

Sharing my conversation with Mr Amberish Rai, Convener, Right to Education Campaign and the person who has devoted nearly two decade to this campaign relentlessly. I look forward to your responses to this conversation.
