Balachaur, (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh kaler ) Under the able guidance of Dr. Satish Kumar Dhiman, Principal, Baba Balraj Panjab University Constituent College, Balachaur organized a Vigilance Awareness Programme on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” in collaboration with the Vigilance Bureau, SBS Nagar. The event aimed to spread awareness about integrity, transparency, and the collective role of citizens in combating corruption.The programme featured three main activities — a Signature Campaign on Anti-Corruption Awareness, Fine- Arts Competitions and an Awareness Session by Vigilance Bureau Personnel.
The Signature Campaign was graced by Mrs. Santosh Kataria, Hon’ble MLA, Balachaur, and Mr. Sunil Kaushal, Municipal Councillor, along with the presence of local advocates, doctors, teachers, and residents. The dignitaries appreciated the college’s efforts in promoting ethical values and motivating the youth to participate actively in creating a corruption-free society.The stage was efficiently conducted by Dr. Hari Nath Sharma.
An Awareness Session was conducted by S. Lakhwinder Singh Aujla and S. Chamkaur Singh (Inspector, SBS Nagar) from the Vigilance Bureau. They addressed the gathering on the importance of vigilance in public life and shared practical insights on how individuals can contribute to eradicating corruption through responsible citizenship and awareness.
The event was successfully coordinated by Asst. Prof. Ruby, Mrs. Sukhjit Nahar, Dr. Harnam Singh, Mr. Ramandeep Singh Nahar (Incharge, Co-Curricular Activities), Ms. Nandini Moadgil (Coordinator, Youth Club), Dr. Anjali Pathak, and Dr. Hari Nath (NSS Programme Officers),Ms. Dakshi Jain, Mr. Satnam Singh, Mr. Deepak Sharma whose collective efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the programme and enthusiastic participation of students.
