Phase 3 vaccine trials began in the UAE: The vaccine will be available to volunteers between the ages of 18-60. The trials are the results of a partnership between UAE`s G42 and Sinopharm. 100% volunteers generated antibodies in the first two phases. The vaccine could enter the market by the end of 2020 if successful.
The UAE has conducted over four million tests for Covid-19. The UAE also developed laser testing technology is providing instant results on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi border.
Since the UAE has opened up tourism and hospitality sector, hotel occupancy rates in the UAE capital have risen by 3% year-on –year since July 1 and are expected to rise further because Covid-19 death rate is almost zero over three months.
UAE`s Humanitarian Aid Efforts
Since the outbreak of the pandemic of Coronavirus, under the benevolent &visionary leadership of the Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces, the UAE has sent humanitarian aid in tons of medical and food to assist 73 countries. The world leaders and organizations highly praised humanitarian services rendered by the UAE to combat Covid-19 pandemic and helping the marginalized people.
