Under State Government, Punjab, A Two day Training program on Physics dated 04/2/2025 and 06/2/2025 for Ludhiana district physics lecturers has been organized in Meritorious school, Ludhiana. Total 64 lecturers from various schools participated in this training program.
Principal District mentor Sh. Sanjeev Saddi and District mentors has guided teachers about the latest syllabus of 11th and 12th class students, new activities introduced in the syllabus use of Sathee app and pace portal were discussed .
Use of e-content , improvised models and activities were shown to teach difficult topics .All lecturers were given chance to build up their physics teaching skills by giving lectures on physics in two day training program.
Day 1 activities and lectures were taken by PDM Sh Sanjeev Saddi ji who took many numerical problems on mechanics, S. Satinder Pal Singh, lecturer physics of GSSS Hassanpur demonstrated Newtons laws using simple activities and econtent , Smt Cherry lecturer Physics from GSSS Multi purpose demonstrated centripetal force and centrifugal force using home material and showcased Doppler effect by using water pipe. Many other lecturers also delivered their lectures on difficult topics of 10+1 .
Day 2 S. Sp singh from GSSS Hasanpur demonstrated faraday laws, Magnetic field in a current carrying loop, A C generator using improvised models, Smt kamal jeet lecturer physics from GMSSS ,PAU took numerical problems on magnetism, S Jatinder Pal singh lecturer physics from GSSS Boparai covered nuclear fission, nuclear fusion using binding energy/A and mass number curve .
S. Avtar singh from GSSS ikloha demonstrated PN junction biasing Smt Simranjeet, lecturer physics from meritorious school showcased activities on Total internal reflection and optical fibre , Smt cherry Mittal lecturer physics demonstrated Interference, Diffraction and Polarisation using very simple house hold goods. Sh. Amrish Sharma from meritorious school demonstrated photoelectric effect Others also participated in different sessions for enhancing their skills in physics teaching.
Sh Arun kumar, lecturer physics from SOE model town motivated teachers to boost admission in science streams.
All lecturers showed that physics teaching can be made very effective by using simple demonstrations and learnt how simple house hold items can be used to learn different phenomenon of physics. Two day program was very interactive and Guidance of state coordinator S. Jaswinder Kaur and PDM Ludhiana. Refreshments were also given to teachers.
Lecturers has given their feedback to the department that such trainings are must for effective teaching learning process.
Principal Mrs Satwant Kaur motivated physics lectures to teach physics by giving daily life examples.
