Sital Singh Gill expresses deep shock over the death of Punjabi singer Rajvir JawandaSital Singh Gill

 (Asian independent)  General Secretary of the Indian Workers Association (Great Britain), has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the tragic death of popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda. Rajvir Jawanda was seriously injured in a road accident on 27 September 2025 in Himachal Pradesh and had been receiving treatment since then. Sadly, despite all medical efforts, he passed away today, 8 October 2025, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. In his condolence message, Sital Singh Gill said:“The untimely death of Rajvir Jawanda is a heartbreaking loss for Punjabis across the world. He was not only a talented artist but also a proud voice of Punjab’s cultural identity and the hardworking spirit of its people. Through his music, Rajvir Jawanda celebrated the pride, struggles, and dignity of ordinary Punjabis. His passing has left a deep void in the world of Punjabi music.” Mr Gill added that the Indian Workers Association (Great Britain) and the wider Punjabi diaspora share the deep grief of Jawanda’s family, friends, and millions of admirers around the world. “On behalf of IWA(GB), I extend heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May Waheguru bless his soul with eternal peace and give strength to those left behind, he said.
