Namo Buddhaya!
I am delighted to share that I have been invited to serve as the Chief Guest at Loyola College, Chennai, on December 6th, 2025, for the commemoration of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 69th death anniversary. Beyond my personal happiness as an alumnus, it is deeply meaningful to be invited to preside over this event in the presence of my former classmates, who are now distinguished professors. This honour feels like an affirmation of my commitment to the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity.

In the history of Loyola College, this occasion marks a significant milestone, as the commemoration of Dr. Ambedkar has been thoughtfully mainstreamed by encouraging the participation of students and faculty from diverse communities and departments. The enthusiastic involvement of students throughout the day with peaceful procession and cultural performances inside the college reflects a growing recognition of Dr. Ambedkar not only as the architect of modern India, but also as a profound social philosopher whose ideas continue to inspire transformative change.

Furthermore, the invitation extended to a Buddhist leader to preside over a programme in a Catholic institution represents a meaningful step towards breaking religious orthodoxy and fostering interfaith fellowship. The leadership demonstrated by Loyola College sets an important precedent, with the potential to inspire other institutions to follow suit and to integrate such inclusive ideologies into their academic frameworks.
