(Asian independent)  After we got independence and had our own constitution, every government has been playing with the soul of the constitution which was formulated by constitutional committee, headed by shri BR Ambedkar. Every government explained the constitution in  its own way so that it’s grip on power remained intact. The practice continuous. But the present government has surpassed all limits. It has almost demolished the original fabric of the constitution. The four main pillars of the constitution, namely…. Judiciary, parliament, executive and media… No longer function within their jurisdiction. Media is acting as the representative of the government, executive because of absolute majority is dominating the parliament and the opposition has no say in the decisions taken in loksabha and Rajya Sabha. The government tries to pressurize the Judiciary indirectly, autonomous bodies just like Income Tax Department, C.B..I,E.D and Election Commission etc, are working as the agents of the government. Criticism against the government is considered to be rebellion against the country. The idea of secularism has been dumped deep. The peace harmony between different religious groups no longer gives message to the world.. अनेकता में एकता.. Both houses of parliament witness blames and counter blames between the ruling party and opposition benches. The opposition is hardly given any importance. Most of the times smooth functioning of the Parliament is disturbed, suspension and workout by the opposition is a normal phenomenon. Most of the bills are passed without the opposition taking part in them, even the budget is also passed in the same manner. The ruling party, because of its absolute majority, received from the support of its allies, does in and outside the parliament whatever it thinks proper. It’s main aim is to remain in power. The opposition blames the ruling party for rigging the election. They blame the government hobnobbing with the election Commission to win election. The Expectations of the people from the government remain unfulfilled. The problem of unemployment, inequality of income and wealth, poverty, rising prices etc, have become perpetual headache for the government. The government has changed the names and structure of public welfare programs started by the congress government.. But the pertinent question is…. Will the changing of name of the public welfare programs, help the people.
