Terror conspiracy case: NIA searches at 14 locations in J&K

New Delhi, (Asian independent) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday conducted searches at 14 locations in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with J&K terror conspiracy case, an official said.

According to the official, the search operation was carried out in the districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Pulwama, Anantnag, Budgam and Kathua.

The case relates to terror conspiracy hatched by Pakistan-based commanders of proscribed terrorist organisations for furtherance of the terrorist activities by way of targeting minorities, security personnel and religious pilgrimages including the Amaranth Yatra, Vaishno Devi Yatra and other similar religious activities.

The case was registered suo motu by the terror probe agency in June.

During the searches conducted on Friday, incriminating materials including digital devices were recovered and further probe is on, the official added.
