Kurukshetra , (Asian independent)– “Keeping in view the resource crunch in the economy, the conspicuous consumption at micro and macro levels has to be stopped,” said  former  Vice Chancellor  Prof. M.M. Goel, retired from Kurukshetra University. He was online addressing the participants of interschool event   ‘Businessopolis 2020 ’ of N.K.Bagrodia Public School, Sect 4 Dwarka ( Delhi).  Principal Dr. (Mrs) Rajee N. Kumar delivered welcome address and presented citation on the achievements of Professor M.M. Goel.

The principle of ‘needonomics’ (economics of needs) can reduce the socio-economic problems of India to a considerable extent, believes Prof. Goel.

Atmanirbharta can be a success story by adopting needonomics which is ethical, nonviolent and spiritual in nature, told Prof. Goel.

There is need for sharing the responsibility calling for pricing policy of public utilities to be linked with inflation, said Prof. Goel.

We need to become street smart (simple, moral, action oriented, responsive and transparent) with uniqueness even if weak for converting the challenges into opportunities, believes needonomist Goel.

Economy can be made consumer friendly by adopting NAW (Need, Affordability and Worth) approach of international marketing with focus on the need based priorities in choices of all kinds, explained Prof. Goel.
