(Asian independent) (Washington, D.C) – The World Sikh Parliament announces a peaceful gathering in front of the White House on February 13, 2025, in response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ongoing injustices, mass killings, and transnational repression against Sikhs worldwide. This demonstration aims to bring global attention to the Modi government’s human rights violations, illegal extrajudicial killings, and direct interference in American democracy. Why We Are Gathering The Modi-led Indian government has escalated its campaign of violence, persecution, and suppression against Sikhs, both in India and abroad. The Sikh community has been subject to:
• State-sponsored assassination attempts on American soil, as evidenced by the recently exposed plot to kill a Sikh activist in New York.
• Extrajudicial killings of Sikh leaders abroad, including the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, which has sparked international condemnation. • False propaganda against Sikh Americans, including Modi-controlled Indian media spreading baseless claims about U.S. law enforcement raiding Sikh places of worship— an outright lie meant to defame both Sikh Americans and U.S. authorities. A Call for Justice & Accountability The Sikh American community has always stood for freedom, democracy, and justice—values that America holds dear. By welcoming Modi, the U.S. government risks legitimizing a leader who has orchestrated genocide, state-sponsored oppression, and targeted killings. We call upon all justice-seeking individuals, human rights advocates, and fellow Americans to join us in this peaceful demonstration.
Our message is clear:
• Hold Modi accountable for his crimes against humanity.
• Demand an end to India’s transnational repression.
• Protect Sikh Americans from foreign government interference and targeted attacks.
This peaceful gathering will serve as a strong reminder that America will not tolerate foreign leaders who undermine human rights, target religious minorities, and mock U.S. sovereignty.

Sikh Americans are proud, law-abiding, and patriotic citizens who stand with the United
