Nawanshahr (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh kaler ) Baba Balraj Panjab University Constituent College, Balachaur, organised a Poster Making Activity on the occasion of National AIDS Day, jointly coordinated by the Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of the college. The event aimed to create awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, reduce stigma, and promote informed and responsible health practices. Students showcased remarkable creativity and social sensitivity through posters carrying powerful messages such as “Awareness is Protection,” “Stop Stigma, Spread Love,” and “Know HIV to Prevent HIV.” The activity encouraged students to become proactive voices for health awareness, empathy, and compassion. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Nandini, Coordinator, Red Ribbon Club, with active support from club members Dakshi Jain and Shiana Chaudhary along with NSS Unit Programme Officers Dr. Hari Nath and Dr. Anjali Pathak. Valuable guidance and cooperation were provided by Mr. Ramandeep Singh Nahar, Dr. Harjinder Bharadwaj, Dr. Harnam Singh, Ms. Gurdeep Kaur, Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur, Mr. Bijay Kumar Das, Ms. Ruby ensuring the smooth and effective conduct of the activity. The Principal, Dr. Satish Kumar Dhiman, appreciated the initiative and lauded the combined efforts of the Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit for sensitising students on issues of health, empathy, and social responsibility. He emphasized that such awareness activities play a key role in building an informed and stigma-free society. The event concluded with appreciation for the best posters and a renewed commitment to spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and compassion.
