For decades, Pakistan has stood before the world at the United Nations, tears in their eyes, demanding justice for Kashmir. They paint themselves as the noble defenders of Kashmiri rights, the champions of self-determination. But this is nothing more than a calculated lie – a cruel deception that insults the intelligence of the international community and betrays the very people they claim to protect.

The Mask Falls Off

The recent massacres in Kotli have ripped away Pakistan’s false mask. While Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was lecturing the UN about Kashmiri self-determination, his own forces were shooting unarmed Kashmiri protesters in the streets. These weren’t terrorists or militants – they were ordinary Kashmiris demanding basic rights, jobs, and freedom from military oppression.

The Pakistani army, the same institution that claims to be Kashmir’s saviour, opened fire on Kashmiri civilians. Let that sink in, Pakistan’s military shot the very people they pretend to represent at international forums. This isn’t just hypocrisy; it’s systematic brutality disguised as liberation.

Seventy-Five Years of Colonial Rule

Pakistan has occupied one-third of Kashmir for over seven decades, yet has never once held the plebiscite they constantly demand from India. Why? Because they know they would lose catastrophically. The protests across Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir aren’t isolated incidents – they’re the voice of a people who have been enslaved, exploited, and silenced for generations.

Pakistan has turned POK into a colonial territory. They extract resources, station their military everywhere, and treat Kashmiris as second-class citizens in their own homeland. Local leaders are puppets, elections are shams, and anyone who speaks truth, faces imprisonment, torture, or worse.

The Army’s Brutal Stranglehold

The Pakistani military doesn’t just occupy POK – it terrorizes it. They’ve created a climate of fear where Kashmiris are afraid to speak their own language, practice their culture, or demand their rights. The same army that sheds crocodile tears about “Indian atrocities” commits far worse atrocities daily in POK, away from media attention.

When thousands marched in Kotli, they weren’t just protesting inflation or unemployment. They were crying out against decades of military occupation, enforced disappearances, and systematic oppression. The Pakistani army’s response? Bullets. This is their idea of “liberating” Kashmir.

International Fraud on Industrial Scale

Every year at the UN, Pakistan perpetrates fraud on an industrial scale. They waste international time and resources with their Kashmir theatrics. They demand investigations into Indian actions while blocking any scrutiny of their own territory.

This isn’t politics – it’s organized deception. Pakistan has turned the UN platform into their personal propaganda stage, manipulating global sympathy while committing the exact crimes they accuse others of committing.

The Ultimate Betrayal

The cruellest irony is that Pakistan betrays the very cause they claim to champion. By denying Kashmiris in POK their basic rights, they’ve proven that Kashmir isn’t about self-determination for them – it’s about real estate, strategic advantage, and anti-India obsession.

If Pakistan genuinely cared about Kashmiris, they would immediately:

(1)Withdraw their military from POK
(2)Hold free elections without army interference
(3)Allow international human rights monitors
(4)Stop shooting protesters
(5)Grant genuine autonomy

But they won’t do any of this because Pakistan doesn’t want to liberate Kashmir – they want to own it.

Time for Global Action

The international community must stop enabling Pakistan’s Kashmir fraud. When Pakistani leaders next stand at the UN demanding Kashmiri rights, world leaders should ask them one simple question: “What about the Kashmiris you shot in Kotli?”

Pakistan’s Kashmir policy isn’t about justice or self-determination.

The blood of Kashmiri protesters in Kotli has exposed Pakistan’s true face. The world can no longer pretend not to see it. Pakistan isn’t Kashmir’s liberator – it’s Kashmir’s oppressor, and it’s time the world treated them as such.
