New Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Friday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the only leader in Delhi who is capable of taking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the entire Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing a public rally along with Kejriwal at Badarpur here, he praised the work done by the Delhi government and also said that the BJP divides people on the basis of religion and caste.
“As the elections approach, they will attempt to divide people along the lines of caste and religion, but remember to vote for the party that talks about healthcare, education, jobs, and the betterment of the people of Delhi.
“There’s only one leader in Delhi who is capable of taking on PM Modi and the entire BJP, and his name is Arvind Kejriwal,” he said.
Echoing Singh’s sentiments for the BJP, Kejriwal said the Chief Minister is for everyone and so is the Prime Minister.
Addressing the public after inaugurating the work of laying pipelines in Badarpur, Kejriwal attacked the BJP saying it took 70 years in an area in Delhi to get the water pipeline. “Previous government only took money to their homes.”
Repeating his demand for full statehood, Kejriwal said the upcoming Lok Sabha polls are important for the national capital.
“The upcoming Lok Sabha elections are extremely important for the people of Delhi. For the last 20 years, both BJP and Congress promised to make Delhi a full state but never lived up to their promises. PM Modi himself promised to make Delhi a full state.
“If Delhi becomes a full state, our youth will get jobs, you will all get homes and women safety will be improved,” Kejriwal said.
During another public rally at Ballimaran, Kejriwal attacked the Congress.
Accusing the Congress of weakening the AAP in Delhi, he said that in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress will be responsible for cutting down the vote share of Akhilesh-Mayawati like it is doing with the AAP in Delhi.
Urging people to vote for AAP and not Congress, he said that if the BJP wins again, then the Constitution will be changed and there will be no election after that.
