Lucknow, (Asian independent) :All India People’s Front organized a meeting of various political, social organizations and concerned citizens of the state in Gandhi Bhawan in Lucknow. In the meeting, it was found that the opposition, especially the SP, which is the strongest political force in the opposition, is not able to play an effective role in the absence of public issues against the aggressive anti-democracy politics of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party. The decline of the Bahujan Samaj Party continues in the state and the revival of the Congress is also not visible. In such a situation, it was found in the talks that a big campaign is needed in the state for mass mobilization on issues like employment, education, health and security of the poor sections of the society, Dalits, tribals and minorities. It was noted in the meeting that the partners of Rozgar Adhikar Abhiyan are continuing their initiatives at various levels and the team of Abhiyan went to Patna in support of the movement of BPSC students in Bihar, which was considered a good step in the meeting. It was also felt that it is necessary to form an organization of social forces facing various types of discrimination and isolation in the society. After discussion, Dalit Ekta Manch/Dalit Solidarity Forum was also formed in which apart from Dalit castes, those social forces will also be included who are victims of gender discrimination and isolation.

Along with increasing the budget on employment, education, health and all the plans of scheduled castes and tribes, it also emerged that electoral reforms should be done, especially changes should be made in the electoral system in the constituencies of scheduled castes and tribes. Although people believed that it would have been better if a separate electoral system was adopted. But if this is not possible in today’s situation, then at least for joint electorate, a reasonable percentage of votes of scheduled castes and tribes should be fixed, and only after achieving this, a person should be declared elected. It is known that whenever there is oppression or attack on scheduled castes and tribes in the country, then the representatives who win from these reserved seats remain silent and support the anti-people direction of their party.

It was felt in the discussion that in the situation of unemployment, the government should make special provisions for the students and youth groups who want to go into the field of enterprise. It was also decided that interest-free loans should be made available to the people of scheduled castes and tribes, extremely backward and minority groups for enterprise and business and the government should guarantee the purchase of their products. Dalit entrepreneur groups engaged in the leather industry should be given special financial grants. The public welfare schemes that are ongoing should be fully implemented. A big team was also formed in the meeting to talk to various political and social groups and to conduct dialogue on public issues.

The meeting was chaired by All India People’s Front national president S.R. Darapuri. AIPF founder member Akhilendra Pratap Singh was present in the meeting and he put forth his views on the topics of the meeting. In the meeting, child and pediatric specialist Dr. Nandkishore, AIPF state president Dr. B.R.
