LEICESTER SIKH CHAPLAINCY CELEBRATES GURU NANAK DEV JI’S 550th GURPURB IN HOSPITAL

National Sikh Chaplaincy Prayer Day and  Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th Gurpurb Celebrations were held at The Main Chapel of Leicester General Hospital, Gwendolen Road, Leicester on Wednesday 27th November from 11 am – 12.30 pm.

Hospital staff, patients and local Sikh Sangat came together to sing Kirtan and say an Ardas for Sarbat da Bhalla and the well-being of all patients, staff, volunteers and families.

Organised by Sikh Chaplin Kartar Singh Bring and Sulakhan Singh Dard the event included an address from Chairman of University Hospitals of Leicester Karamjit Singh and Head of Chaplaincy Rev. Mark Burleigh.

The organisers thanked everyone for their participation in the celebrations and for their kind donation. The £300 raised at the celebration will be donated to Loros, British Heart Foundation and Hospital Charity.
