‘Hind Di Chadar’ Light & Sound Show on Nov 17, Nagar Kirtan to enter in district on Nov 22

Deputy Commissioner reviews preparations and arrangements
Kirtan Darbar to be held in Hakimpur village and Nawanshahr on November 15 and Durgapur village on November 16
Nawanshahr   (Samajweekly)  (jatinder pal singh kaler) As part of the series of functions being hosted by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a light and sound show ‘Hind Di Chadar’ would be organised at local ITI Ground on November 17 while the Nagar Kirtan commencing from Kashmir is to be reached at Nawanshahr on November 22. The light & sound show would be based on the life, teachings and unparalleled martyrdom of Guru Ji. Taking stock of preparations in view of both events, Deputy Commissioner Ankurjeet Singh said that the  Nagar Kirtan will be welcomed by the Sangat  at various places. The Deputy Commissioner and SSP Mehtab Singh jointly reviewed the arrangements besides giving directions to officers of various departments to put all the arrangements in place well in time.  Deputy Commissioner said that the light and sound show will commence at 5 pm on Monday at ITI Ground where the dhadi jathas will recite ballads. He said that the show would present digital depiction of the life, legacy, teachings and martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He directed the police officials to make adequate arrangements for security, traffic and parking as well as other concerned departments to ensure necessary arrangements so that the devotees could be facilitated during the show.The Deputy Commissioner pointed out that  the Nagar Kirtan will be welcomed first at  Gurdwara Charan Kanwal Sahib, Banga followed by welcomes at  different places by devotees. The Deputy Commissioner invited the religious, social organizations and residents of the district to join for these events. Similarly, Kirtan Darbar events dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Day will also be organized at Gurdwara Nanaksar Sahib, village Hakimpur, Banga and Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib, Banga Road, Nawanshahr on November 15 while Kirtan Darbar will be organized at Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi village Durgapur on November 16. Additional Deputy Commissioner Avneet Kaur, SP Iqbal Singh, SDM Anamjyot Kaur, SDM Inderpal, SDM Vipin Bhandari, Assistant Commissioner Jagdeep Singh and senior officers of various departments were present.
