Balachaur, (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh kaler ) Bharat Vikas Parishad, Balachaur Branch in collaboration with the NSS Unit of Baba Balraj Panjab University Constituent College, Balachaur successfully organized a “Guru Vandana and Student Felicitation Programme” in reverence to the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The event also included a speech competition and a quiz competition under the theme “Know India”, aiming to instill patriotism, cultural awareness, and moral values among students.
The programme was graced by Mrs. Santosh Kataria, Hon’ble MLA, Balachaur, and Mr. Sunil Kaushal, Municipal Councillor, Balachaur, as the Guests of Honour. Both dignitaries lauded the efforts of the organizers for conducting such value-based programmes that inspire the younger generation to uphold national ideals and the legacy of great spiritual leaders like Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Mr. Chandresh Shourie, President, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Balachaur, along with the members of the Baba Balraj Mandir Committee — Adv. Sh. Pushap Rana, Sh. Randeep Kaushal, and Rana Subhash — played a significant role in organizing the event. They were honoured by the faculty of the college for their guidance and valuable support in making the event a success.
The event was conducted under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Anjali Pathak and Dr. Hari Nath, who coordinated the entire programme with commendable teamwork and enthusiasm. The stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Sh. Sunil Sharma, while the competitions were judged by Mrs. Aruna Pathak, Mrs. Pushpa Vyas, Mrs. Rachna Anand, and Dr. Hari Nath.
The collaborative efforts of faculty members Asst. Prof. Ruby, Ms. Sukhjit Nahar, Mr. Ramandeep Singh Nahar (Incharge, Co-Curricular Activities), Ms. Nandini Moadgil (Co-ordinator, Youth Club), Ms. Dakshi Jain, Mr. Satnam Singh (Members, Red Ribbon and Youth Club), Dr. Harnam Singh, Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur, Mr. Raghav Jain, and Mr. Bijay contributed significantly to the success of the event.
