Gandhinagar, (Asian independent) Gujarat on Thursday saw 1,332 more coronavirus cases, taking its tally to 1,09,627, while the death toll rose to 3,167 as 15 more patients succumbed.
In ten days of September, the state has added 13,192 cases with a daily average of 1,319.
Meanwhile, 1,415 patients were discharged, taking the total cured to 90,230, while there are 16,230 active cases, out of which 91 critical patients are still on ventilator.
Of the new cases, Surat saw 278, Ahmedabad 167, Rajkot 150, while Vadodara (124) and Jamnagar (105) were also in the three-digit category.
Bhavnagar had 64 cases, Gandhinagar 38, Junagadh 37, Patan 31, Amreli and Panchmahals 30 each, Morbi 27, Mehsana 25, Bharuch and Surendranagar 24 each, Mahisagar 21, Kutch 20, Dahod 18, Gir-Somnath 15, Botad 14, Navsari 11, Kheda, Chhota Udepur and Sabarkantha 10 each, Banaskantha nine, Narmada and Porbandar eight each, Anand and Tapi seven each, Devbhumi Dwarka five, Aravalli three and Valsad two.
Of the new deaths, four each occurred in Surat and Ahmedabad, two in Amreli and one each in Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Vadodara and Sabarkantha.
Ahmedabad tops the state toll with 1,748 deaths, followed by 676 in Surat, 143 in Vadodara, 108 in Rajkot, 61 in Gandhinagar, 47 in Bhavnagar, 39 in Patan, 31 in Kutch, 29 each in Mehsana, Junagadh, and Jamnagar, 24 in Aravalli, 21 in Amreli, 19 in Banaskantha, 17 in Panchmahals, 16 each in Kheda and Anand, 15 each in Morbi and Gir-Somnath, 12 in Bharuch, 11 in Surendranagar and 10 in Valsad.
Health authorities have so far conducted 30,73,534 RT-PCR tests, while the state has 6,82,298 people quarantined – 6,81,839 at home and 459 in government facilities.
