Leicester- To celebrate the 70th birthday of Co-Ordinator, Punjabi Listeners Club a voluntary organisation formed on the 3rd Anniversary of BBC Radio Leicester’s Punjabi Programme on Wednesday 9th September 1992- a fund-raising event is being organised on Saturday 17th January 2026 from 11 am to 1.30 pm at Wigston Library, Bull Head Street, Wigston, Leicestershire LE18 1AP.
After registration and refreshments, the programme will commence with Shabad Kirtan {Religious Hymns}. Speeches from special guests, songs, mini stories, poems, jokes, raffle and an auction will follow.
One of the fund-raising event organisers Oadby Councillor Santokh Singh Athwal said the well-known UK registered charities British Heart Foundation BHF and Khalsa Aid International will provide stalls for the benefits of those attending.
