On 24th July, Dun & Bradstreet under the theme “Powering Resurgent India” organized PSU Awards 2018 event at the Lalit Hotel, New Delhi. Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. is a company that provides commercial data, analytics and insights for business. Sodexo, SISL, GIC Re were the co-partners.
Dun & Bradstreet has been distributing PSU awards for the last 15 years. The companies selected for such prestigious PSU awards go through a rigorous test of competence and experience.
Mr Manish Sinha, Managing Director, India, sober and stylish, welcomed the audience. Mr Sinha apprised the participants about Dun & Bradstreet achievements in the past decades. Mr Sinha emphasized on responsible and inclusive capitalism. According to him, the business approach should be humane and inclusive. Mr Sinha told that the PSUs are the key players in transforming India. He also stressed that our aim should be to build an egalitarian and inclusive society. While giving examples of countries such as Sweden, Iceland, wealth is distributed in these countries and Happiness Index is achieved. He also argued that gender equality needs to be encouraged in the society and business spaces. There are a bunch of challenges such as shortage of talent and skill; India needs to bridge this gap to become a superpower, said Mr Sinha.

Mr Bibek Debroy, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and Member, NITI Aayog, Government of India was the chief guest at the Award function.
Dun & Bradstreet released publication at the function. Different category awards were distributed to PSU such as Coal India Ltd, ONGC, Power Grid Corporation, National fertilizers ltd, GAIL India, HAL, NDMC Ltd, IRCTC, REC, New India Insurance Ltd, General Insurance Corporation India, by Mr Manish Sinha and Bibek Debroy at the function.
