Highland Heights, Kentucky USA – December 6, 2024 On the 68th Mahaparinibbana Day of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Ambedkar Association of North America (AANA) proudly donated the “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Writings and Speeches – 19 Volumes” to the Library of Northern Kentucky University (NKU), located at 1 Louie B. Nunn Drive, Highland Heights, Kentucky 41099 USA.
AANA extends heartfelt gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Bade, dedicated Ambedkarite members from Ohio, for their pivotal role in coordinating with NKU and ensuring the successful delivery of these books.
This significant contribution represents a historic moment for the AANA and the global Ambedkarite community, reinforcing their commitment to promoting Ambedkar’s legacy and empowering educational institutions with critical resources. By bringing Dr. Ambedkar’s visionary work to NKU, AANA continues its mission of advancing education and social justice.
The NKU librarian expressed profound appreciation for this donation, highlighting the immense value of Dr. Ambedkar’s writings for students in various fields, including Humanities, Religious Studies, Economics, Anthropology, and Indian History. The comprehensive nature of Ambedkar’s work, covering topics like social justice, economics, world religions, and constitutional law, makes these volumes a vital academic resource.
Northern Kentucky University, a public university established in 1968, is the youngest of Kentucky’s eight public universities. With over 16,000 students, including nearly 5,000 postgraduates, NKU is renowned for its commitment to innovation and excellence.
