Doctors in UP to fill up bonds to work in villages: CM

Lucknow,  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that every MBBS doctor who graduates from government medical colleges in the state will have to work in villages for two years and they will have to fill up bonds in this regard.

The doctors completing post-graduation — MD and MS — will have to work in rural areas for a year, he said while addressing a function to mark the first anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Diwas here.

He even said that no one would force the government for the internship.

Highlighting the success of the Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, Adityanath said around 1.18 crore families benefited from the scheme while 8.45 lakh families benefited from Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana and the state government has distributed Ayushman golden cards to 1.89 lakh people.

He said that 46.86 lakh golden cards were made under the Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana in Uttar Pradesh.
