Temptation to take every decision on social media is hurting diplomacy

The SCO summit in China has reflected the direction the future of the world. The efforts to isolate #Russia failed miserably. The blunders that European did with their #Russophobia has resulted in Russia looking east words and global south. The impact of #RussiaChina energy cooperation would be huge on Europe who used to have the Russian gas supply.
After lots of public fiasco, #DonaldTrump is learning to keep quiet too though you don’t know when he speak and what. But Trump’s attempt to bully leaders in public has resulted in their doing away from the United States. There was no need for him and his administration to comment on Russia China and India meeting at SCO. Trump’s highhandedness actually pushed Modi to join SCO actively otherwise India was an outsider in the block. Many still feel that India is not forthright but American pressure and attempted humiliation resulted in Narendra Modi’s sudden change of policies.
it is important for all whether Americans or Europeans or for that matters Indians as well, to treat all the sovereign country as equal partner who have right to chose their partners and do business. India does not need a permission from the #EU and #usa for its foreign policy and business alliances. Unfortunately, #DonaldTrump and his administration undiplomatic behaviour look like street rafians insulting the individual who is on a visit to their country.
Donald Trump came to power with big hopes as people in the United States really wanted to end the war. Joe Biden had dangerously taken US close to World War III. People saw in Trump a change makers, unmasking the deep state and building a healthy relationship with Russia. But his temptation on social media giving deadline for resolving the issue were self goals. There was no need. If you really wanted to stop the war, ask European to do away with it and let the Ukraine negotiate directly. But Ukraine for many countries is basically their huge investment and they wont allow it to diminish. I mean, Trump could have allowed these backchannel diplomacy to happen and avoid making those statements which only show him desperate for Nobel Peace Prize. His tweet that Putin, Xe and Modi are conspiring against him was in poor taste. Countries have right to meet and discuss their relationship, build their own issues like G-7 or G-20. BRICS was the idea that Putin floated after he was isolated and he succeeded in making it much bigger and now powerful than any other alliances. it is not the fault of #Putin or #Russia but of the west which tried to humiliate and isolate him at every step.
The ‘Regime change’ operation now being planned for #venezuela is bound to create unrest and uncertainty in the South America. It will help whip up passions of the common people against the Americans. It shows clearly that such operations in countries like Iraq, Libya and Syria has not resulted in any positive thing but more uncertainty and chaos. Though efforts to do a regime change in #Iran failed yet both America and #Israel are planning for a war against #Iran. It is going to create further crisis in Asia and the world. Sadly, the same democratic US is unable to control or direct its vassal state called Israel anything. Many time, people actually question, who is a vassal ? US or Israel ?
Every country today is bothered about its own economic political interests. They will speak to all. India will speak to Russia and the same time also to Ukraine ? #China is supporting Pakistan but India is more important for it economically as well as culturally. Russia is holding talks with #USA at the same time partnering with China. Turkey too is managing all those contradictions.
Back channels are always part of diplomacy. Loudmouth and temptation for social media and local supporters might be self destructive in the field of democracy. Trump might learn it later but still he is way behind our #lalamedia and bhakts who edit videos and photographs of Narendra Modi to show how he is ‘teaching’ art of ‘diplomacy to all. The result of such temptation is that the other side too become active to humiliate. Now, stories such as Putin has betrayed India by speaking to Pakistan is of the similar nature or what Modi and Putin would have spoken when travelling together and so on. Frankly, internationally, these things are basically messaging to the world how countries and their leaders actually think about the relationship with us. #Russia has been a stable partner with India and it will remain so. Of course, in India Russian ties, many time, we have made mistakes because Russia has remained steadfast in its support and respect to India. Even today, India is held high in Russia but when we can speak to a discredited #Zelensky then what stop Russia to speak to Pakistan. Leaders at a platform meet each others and talk. It is natural for them to suggest about the historicity of their relations. There is nothing unusual. The unusual is how Donald Trump actually humiliated Zelensky at his oval office and also to Liberian President about his wonderful English’ and South African President about so called attacks on white in that country. These are undiplomatic behaviour and wanting to tell them they we don’t care. Diplomacy fails in it.
The problem with Narendra Modi and BJP is that most of its Bhakts are actually in #usa, #uk and #Europe and any deterioration of relationship would hurt their business interest and the government would not do so. A large number of the friends from Gujarat have investment from China so it is an ‘important’ country. Russian oil did not benefit common Indian though companies made billions. So economic interest will define the foreign policy of each country but that apart personal relationship too matter. There is no meaning to suggest whether Putin knew English or Modi or what did they speak. For many of ‘experts’ who were mocking Putin does not know English, should know that he know it well. Top Russian leadership know English but wont speak it and there are different reasons for the same. The handout and written statement make it sure that there is no space for a misunderstanding of things. Look at the Russian and Chinese diplomacy and the US way of casual handling these things.
The world has changed since the second world war. Ukraine war is now restructuring it. The faulty politics of European Union is pushing Europe to isolation with individual countries taking their own decisions. Let us see when this war end and all depend on how the war hawks in Europe want to continue or understand that they cant really defeat Russia at the moment. The war should end as the world now need a stability at all the fronts. Another economic collapse or full scale war will bring unprecedented crisis. So, all efforts should be made to stop war at all fronts including at #Gaza as well as #venezuela.
The economy build on peace would be more durable and democratic than those of the war economy helping only the deep state elite #Brussels #london and #Washington.
