Jalandhar (Asian Independent): Dhamm Chakkar Parvartan Divas was celebrated today i.e. on October 14, 2020 at Ambedkar Bhawan, Dr. Ambedkar Marg (Nakodar Road), Jalandhar by Ambedkar Mission Society Punjab (Regd.) with coordination of Ambedkar Bhawan Trust and All India Samata Sainik Dal (Regd.), Punjab Unit.  On this day in 1956   Baba Sahib Dr. Ambedkar renunciated Hindu Religion and adopted Buddha Dhamma along with lakhs  of his followers at Nagpur. Prominent Ambedkarite and Buddhist Shri L R Balley and Advocate Harbhajan Sampla were main speakers in this function. Keeping in view Covid pandemic, Social distancing  and other precautions were obeyed. Madam Sudesh Kalyan, President of Ambedkar Mission Society thanked the participants and Varinder Kumar conducted the program very efficiently. Baldev Raj Bhardwaj, Advocate Kuldip Bhatti, Sohan Lal DPI Colleges (Retd.), Chaman Dass Sampla, Malkit Singh, Harmesh Jassal, Ram Lal Dass, Principal Paramjit Jassal and advocate Parminder Singh Khutan were present on the occasion.
