New Delhi, (Asian independent) The Delhi government on Monday asked the hospitals in the national capital to form a media cell to monitor the social media and news.

The direction from the Delhi Health Department came on Monday after there were reports that there are a large number of social media messages regarding the functioning of state-run hospitals.

“The concerned hospital needs to either rebut the information or take corrective action to avoid reoccurrence of such incidences,” the order said.

The Health Department directed the Medical Superintendent, Medical Directors and Director of all hospitals of the Delhi government “create a media cell, who should monitor social media, news media and immediately react to such news or information so that the correct position is presented before people”.
