New Delhi, (Asian independent) The Delhi government, which on Monday extended the lockdown till May 31, allowed all the industries to function with staggered working hours.
In an order, signed by Delhi Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, the government said no movement will be allowed in a containment zone.
“The lockdown period in the territory of Delhi is extended upto May 31. The permissible and prohibited activities in Delhi will be applicable from May 18,” the order said.
For staggering work and business hours, industrial establishments will be permitted to function in staggered business hours.
“Industrial firms whose registered name starts with M/s A to M/s L may function from 7.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., whereas firms whose registered name starts with M/s M to M/s Z may function from 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.,” the order said.
Also, it said the RWAs should not prevent any person from performing their services and duties which has been permitted in the guidelines.
Dev, in his capacity as the Chairperson, State Executive Committee, also said that in the containment zones, only essential activities should be allowed.
“All District Magistrates of Delhi and their counterpart District Deputy Commissioners of Police shall ensure the strict enforcement of these instructions and shall also adequately inform and sensitise the field functionaries about these instructions for strict compliance, in letter and spirit,” the order said.
Dev also directed that all the departments of Delhi, autonomous bodies, PSUs, Corporations, Local Bodies and Delhi Police shall ensure strict compliance of the order.
It also said that all the other activities which are not specifically prohibited will be allowed.
“No passes or e-passes for the movement for any permitted activities from any authority will be required.”
It said that no permission from any authority will be required for the permitted activities.
Also, for the better safety of the employees at offices and workplaces, the order directed the employers to make sure that the Aarogya Setu app is installed by all employees.
As of Monday, there are 76 containment zones in the city.
