THE ASIAN INDEPENDENT UK-
On December 24, 2024, representatives from prominent Ambedkar Associations in the UK convened at the Indian High Commission in London to express their deep anguish over remarks made by India’s Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament regarding Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The delegation, including leaders from all the UK Ambedkarites submitted a memorandum condemning the remarks and emphasizing Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy.
The High Commission’s Social Relations & Cultural Committee Representative assured the attendees that the memorandum would be forwarded to the concerned authorities.
The meeting was followed by little gathering outside the High Commission, where participants displayed posters of Dr. Ambedkar and took group photographs to document the protest event.
