Congress sounds bugle for ‘Punjab Bachao Lok Milani’ from Bharthala, launches campaign to mobilize workers for 2027 elections

Congress leaders surround AAP government over high-handedness, drugs, loot, and gangsterism

Nawanshehar   (Asian independent)   (Jatinderpal Singh Kler): The ‘Lok Milani’ campaign launched by the Congress party in Punjab under the slogan “Bring Congress, Save Punjab” kicked off today from village Bharthala in the Balachaur constituency. This launch was organized at the residence of senior Congress leader and former Block Samiti Chairman Dharampal Pawar Bharthala with the support of the entire Pawar family. A large number of Congress leaders, office-bearers, and dedicated workers were present on this occasion. At the start of the Lok Milani, senior Congress leader and former MLA Chaudhary Darshan Lal Mangupur, District Congress President Ajay Mangupur, Block Samiti Balachaur Chairman Nanak Singh Jandi, Congress leaders Deepa Sarpanch Nighi, Mohan Lal Sandhu, Block Samiti member Mahinder Pal Bhumbla Bharthala, Chairman Jinder Balachaur, and President Surinder Chhinda Rail Majra, among several other leaders, participated. On this occasion, Congress leaders launched sharp political attacks on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government regarding the prevailing political and social situation in Punjab. The leaders alleged that the government has failed to live up to the people’s expectations regarding law and order, gangsterism, loot, and the drug problem. During this, issues related to Gulzar Singh and Mohanjit Shore also became the center of discussion. Congress leaders stated that widespread disappointment is prevailing among the people of Punjab regarding the government’s performance, and strengthening the Congress is essential to improve the state’s environment. They claimed that only the Congress party is capable of effectively controlling the drug problem and improving the law and order situation in Punjab. District Congress President Ajay Mangupur said that the ‘Lok Milani’ campaign will be taken on a large scale to every village in the constituency, and direct contact will be established with the people to listen to their problems and issues. He said the Congress party will make every possible effort for the rights of the people and to resolve the difficulties they face. He stated that the party’s main goal is to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level for the 2027 assembly elections and maintain continuous contact with the people. A great deal of enthusiasm was seen among Congress workers on this occasion. Leaders urged the workers to go from village to village to connect with people and spread Congress policies and issues related to Punjab among the public. This Lok Milani, which began from Bharthala, is being seen as a crucial political step by the Congress in the context of preparations for the 2027 elections.
