Punjab Bachao rally gets massive response, major announcement of four-lane expressway from Pathankot to Ropar and Kandi Development Ministry
Nawanshehar (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh Kaler): A sea of people gathered at the huge conference organized by constituency in-charge Sandeep Choudhary Honey Tonsa at the Dana Mandi in Balachaur under the Punjab Bachao campaign of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal President Sukhbir Singh Badal. On this occasion, Sukhbir Singh Badal, while targeting Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sharply, said where has the promise of giving 12 hours of electricity during the day gone, while Punjabis today are struggling with 10-10 hours of power cuts. He said that as soon as the Akali government comes, Punjab will again be made a power surplus state. During the rally, Sukhbir Badal made big announcements for the Kandi area. He said that the next Akali government will create a separate Kandi Development Ministry for the holistic development of the Kandi area, a four-lane expressway will be built from Pathankot to Ropar, deep
tubewells for farmers, increase in the capacity of Kandi canal, drip irrigation and underground pipelines to deliver water to every field. Apart from this, a Medical College will be established in Nawanshahr and a Veterinary College in Balachaur. Attacking the AAP government, Sukhbir Badal said that the Chief Minister’s office has become a den of corruption, where clean chits are being given to rapists, gangsters and drug smugglers by taking money. He alleged that Chief Minister’s wife Gurpreet Kaur Mann made a deal of Rs 5 crore to get a serial rapist released. Making gangster Gurpreet Singh Sekhon, who has 50 criminal cases, join AAP and making him the halqa in-charge of Zira is proof of the government’s collusion with gangsters. He also mentioned the incident of torture on anti-drug activist Mohanjit Singh Sheron and intimidation of Gulzar Singh for asking questions about synthetic drugs. On this occasion, constituency in-charge Sandeep Choudhary Honey Tonsa, while addressing, said that the immense and countless gathering that took place today on the land of Balachaur has proved that people have unwavering faith in Akali Dal. He thanked all the area residents, workers, women, youth and all the senior leaders who arrived from the bottom of his heart. Tonsa said that people are fed up with the false guarantees of the AAP government and are eager to form the Akali Dal government in 2027. He claimed that in the 2027 elections, only Shiromani Akali Dal government will be formed and victory will be registered with a big lead from Balachaur constituency.
