During his visit he will be performing religious hymns and providing the congregation with explanations of the teachings of lives of the Sikh Gurus and Sikh scripture Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
Balwinder Singh Rangila was encouraged by his father at age seven years to use his musical talent to spread the message of love and peace. He started performing early. Playing the tabla and singing alongside his father in Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara in Delhi, capital of India. Bhai Balwinder Singh overcame 20 years of severe poverty and hardship in his early life when his family did not have money to buy the much-needed medication.
Later, when performing religious hymns, he was accompanied by his younger brothers Bhupinder Singh and Surinder Singh. When they were asked to perform at the Sikhs’ holiest shrine Sri Harmander Sahib {famously known as The Golden Temple} apart from singing the normal religious hymns, Balwinder Singh Ji gave explanations of the hymns they recited. This was never done by anyone before. It was very popular and very well received by everyone. The rest as they say is history.
