A National and Global Campaign (2026–2028)
Organised by Ambedkar School of Governance

(Asian independent)   On 11 April 2027, India will commemorate the 200th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule (1827–2027), one of the greatest champions of education, equality, women’s emancipation, and social justice.

To mark this historic milestone, the Ambedkar School of Governance is launching “Phule at 200: Reimagining Equality”—a two-year educational and public engagement campaign dedicated to bringing Phule’s ideas to a new generation.

This initiative seeks to move beyond ceremonial remembrance. Through reading circles, public lectures, online courses, research projects, digital archives, cultural programmes, youth engagement, and community dialogues, the campaign will explore the enduring relevance of Phule’s vision for an equal, educated, and democratic society.

We invite students, teachers, researchers, writers, artists, social activists, educational institutions, and all citizens to become part of this collective journey of learning and dialogue.

Together, let us celebrate not only the life of Mahatma Phule but also the transformative ideals for which he dedicated his life.
