Nawanshahr (Asian independent) (Jatinderpal Singh kaler) Lamrin Tech Skills University celebrated NSS Day with great zeal and patriotic spirit. The event began with active participation from students who presented poems, speeches, and engaged in a tree plantation drive, spreading awareness about the importance of service and responsibility towards society.
The university was honored by the presence of Dr. Jatinder Singh Gill, Principal, Government College Ropar, as the chief guest. On the occasion, Dr. Aman Singh gifted the book “Saka Chamkaur Sahib” to the volunteers and enlightened them with the rich history of Shri Chamkaur Sahib, inspiring the youth with lessons of courage and sacrifice.
The celebration also featured the recognition of young leaders selected by the organization, who were honored for their dedication and service. Students came forward to express their thoughts about NSS and its role in personality development and nation-building. As part of the ceremony, all students took the NSS pledge, reaffirming their commitment to selfless service.
The event was further graced by the presence of eminent dignitaries: Mr. Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor (LTSU); Dr. A.S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor; Prof. B.S. Satyal, Registrar; Dr. Navneet Chopra, Dean Academics; and CEO Mr. Vimal Manhotra, whose words of encouragement motivated the volunteers to continue their service journey. Program was organized under the supervision of Rattan Kaur Asstt. Director Youth Sevices and Dr Sohnu Saini coordinator NSS, college of Law.
The NSS Day celebration concluded with a spirit of unity, dedication, and inspiration, leaving the students motivated to uphold the values of NSS—Not Me, But You.
