The year 2025 will always be remembered because Nishan Saab’s dignity and pride was reinstated which was lost through change of colour. This happened in Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir, Bedford on the 1st June 2025.

The year 2025 has also opened door to 45 years celebration. The Mandir was opened under display of Red Nishan Saab by the committee of that time with the understanding for it to remain permanent. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, another colour was introduced and has remained intact until 1st June 2025.

On the 1st June 2025, it surprised all when the ruling committee came forward with the Nishan Saab in red colour. Their explanation was that it replicates the red flags those were flying on the Valmiki Ashrams in the Tretha Yug.

So, this proves that it is extremely essential to maintain red colour of the Nishan Saab because it links with the Red Flags of the Valmiki Ashrams from where Luv and Kush plus millions have gained knowledge.

Following thorough research by Pandit Bakshi Ram Ji, it came to light that how important the Red Nishan Saab is for the Valmikian community. Pandit Bakshi Ram Ji studied 175 religious Granths meaning Holy Scriptures prior to deciding that the Nishan Saab should be red on all the Valmiki Mandirs.

Taking Pandit Bakshi Ram Ji’s decision into account, the committee of that time under the leadership of the President late Bachna Ram Kalayan approved Red Flag with Bow and arrow marking to be the Nishan Saab of this Mandir but somehow it got replaced by another colour.

So, on the 1st June 2025, the ruling committee under the leadership of the President Shree Tarlok Gharu, has again introduced the expired Red Nishan Saab. This time their intension is to keep it permanently. It seems the committee has done this because the history and the historical development of the Valmikian Community is connected with the Red Nishan Saab.

On this special occasion, I feel a few words on the Valmikian Community’s degradation would be helpful because the Nishan Saab Celebrations we are celebrating now have resulted following the sacrifices given by our Ancestors.

At one stage the natives of India had their own Kings and Queens. They had their own Kingdoms. Then the Aryans came and through amalgamation of some native Kings, they have succeeded in establishing their supremacy in India.

The Kings who supported were hailed as the Gods and those who opposed them were classed as the devils. They made stringed rules against the opposers and went to any length to downgrade them. Even today the essence of their cruelty on the natives is still visible.

The Valmikians of today at that time were upfront so to downgrade them to lowest of the low, they magnified hatred against them and made them to do inhumane duties.

Why were only, the Valmikians targeted when the others were also around? Why have they been targeting Bhagwan Valmiki Ji since ancient times? Why did they introduce Tulsi Ramayana when Bhagwan Valmiki Ji’s Ramayana was already there?
Why did Gandhi Ji choose Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir Delhi when other Mandirs and Gurdwaras were also present there? Why is so much controversy against Bhagwan Valmiki Ji that he is a Brahmin? If Bhagwan Valmiki Ji was a Brahmin then why did Guru Ravi Dass Ji include him in his Baani when he was fighting against them.

Even Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar became victim of this hatred. The hatred was at peak when Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Pandit Bakshi Ram and Babu Mangu Ram were around. Because of these three leaders’ joint performance, the changes have come those we are enjoying now.

Pandit Bakshi Ram has done a lot for the Valmikians so his humble request for the Red Nishan Saabs to be on the Valmiki Mandirs should be fulfilled. Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir, Bedford has done so, so all the Valmikian Sabhas in England should also consider this.

Finally, people from near and afar came for this special occasion. Bedford Borough Council representatives, respectable Eric Masih, honourable Mohammed Yasin and religious representatives from various towns were also present.

This day will always be remembered because the Red Nishan Saab’s return seemed impossible but Bhagwan Valmiki Ji has turned impossible into possible. So, this shows that with Bhagwan Valmiki Ji’s blessing even impossible becomes possible.

Jai Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Ki.
Jai Bharat.
