(Asian independent) A charitable NGO, SEVA Trust UK (India) which is working in Haryana and Punjab on education, health, environment and social-welfare, organised a special event at Markandeshwar Hockey Stadium, Shahabad, Distt. Kurukshetra (Haryana) to honour hockey coaches and young players.
Lieutenant Vikramjit Singh attended the event as the chief guest along with Naresh Mittal, Chairman of SEVA Trust and hockey coach Naresh Sharma graced the event as special guests.
Lt. Vikramjit Singh said that this stadium has given Indian hockey star Sardar Sandeep Singh who is serving as the Sports Minister with Haryana Government, Rani Rampal, Indian women’s hockey captain, Surender Kaur, an international hockey player and many other national and international hockey players who have all served the nation and made us all and our great nation India proud. It is really important we continue to support our young players who can play hockey at the highest level. Naresh Mittal said that in addition to offering health support, SEVA Trust is providing educational support and we will offer needed support to yough hockey players too. Hockey coaches Virender, Gurbaz Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, KK Chaudhary, Naresh Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Kanwar Pal and Surinder Wadhwa were honoured by SEVA Trust along with 190 hockey players.
