(Asian Independent)- Under the Competitive Scholarship program of ‘Students of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow’ Foresters International offer tuition scholarships to exceptional students in the UK who wish to peruse their dreams through university education.
Bedfordshire’s sole winner Jasjot Singh Sekhon and Baljinder Singh Padda from Hounslow are the only two students from Sikh background among 48 winners for 2021 from different parts of the country. Baljinder from Cranford Community College achieved great results in his GCSEs and A levels and he worked on various charitable projects. Jasjot, a passionate student of Sharnrbook Academy, a keen cricketer and a hockey player, supported significant number of international students and local families during COVID-19 through volunteering with local charities who gained an A* in A levels. Both students will receive £3000 each from Foresters for their university studies.
Announcing this year’s winners online, the Foresters Team said ‘our purpose is to enrich the lives of our members, their families and the local communities. We offer tuition scholarships through competitive program to young leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership through voluntary work and strong commitment to academics. We had very large number of applicants and pleased to announce 48 award recipients who come from different parts of the country.
