Football is a British invention and for millions of us, it is a cornerstone of community life.
So the idea that a small elite of Europe’s richest clubs will break away and stitch up a deal behind-closed-doors to shut out the majority of our communities’ teams is a complete betrayal.
The football authorities must now use every means and every sanction to stop this in its tracks because football without fans is nothing.
