Jalandhar (The Asian Independent): On 20th July,2020, family members, the executive members of Ambedkar Bhavan Trust, Ambedkar Mission Society & Samata Sainik Dal gathered to celebrate 90th birthday of octogenarian shri. Lahori Ram Balley, editor Bheem Patrika and author of more than 100b ooks in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, English. Shri Lahori Ram Balley is the only surviving follower of Baba Saheb Ambedkar who has the honor of living in contact with Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkarfor 6 years while living in New Delhi . When Babasaheb was critically ill, Mr. Balley gave a word to babasaheb on 30th September, 1956 to propagate Ambedkar Mission throughout his entire life.

In his brief speech on his birthday, he said, I am physically fit and fine and has no aliment. I still work 8 hours a day and wish to fulfill my promise given to Baba Saheb Ambedkar for taking his Caravan forward.
In this small function a prominent missionary song writer Mr. Nirmal Kumar Rattu (Rattu Randhawa) was awarded by Mr. Balley with a loyee, momento and Testimonial for his contributions to the Ambedkar Mission. Mr. Balley also gave his blessings to the young singer Prem lata and honored her with shawl and momento for singing revolutionary songs to propagate Ambedkar Mission.
