New Delhi, : After days of violent clashes in North-East Delhi, politics have started to sow its seeds as various leaders visited the affected areas to take stock of the situation on Wednesday.
Former Congress MP Sandeep Dikshit visited Chand Bagh and other affected areas on Wednesday and interacted with the local residents and those whose shops or other properties have been damaged in the violence that broke out after pro and anti-CAA protesters clashed in North-East Delhi.
Speaking to IANS, Dikshit said, “Situation is becoming normal because of the people. For the last three-four days, the local people were not involved. It is now clear that some political groups belonging to a certain ideology were messing up the situation.”
He said the worst part is that the miscreants were “supported” by Delhi Police and the Delhi government was not to be seen anywhere.
“Peace is returning to the area thanks to the local people, and it has nothing to do with Delhi Police, Delhi government or the Centre,” he said.
